Poem: Cold and Tired

I feel like I’ve got nothing done tonight. And this poem pretty much sums up the last few days at work, too.

Heavy-lidded

Needing sleep

Dreaming of food

Counting sheep

Almost noon

No ringing phones

Tired and dead

Want to go home

Drink some water

Play with hair

Get up and walk

I can’t go anywhere

Want to snuggle

A warm body will do

Once I’m in bed

I’ll be down ’till two!
